From Timor to Java

This is my blog about our 10 day trip to Timor and Indonesia, which we took over Easter this year. We originally had planned a long weekend trip to Bali combined with visiting a friend in East Timor, but then the trip planning grew from there and we realized we could see a lot more in a relatively short time. Apart from some small logistical issues, like airlines going bankrupt prior to the trip, and some minor food poisoning episodes, the whole trip went off without a hitch and we had a great time visiting some amazing and beautiful places. We started in East Timor and then made our way East via the Islands of Bali, Komodo, Rinca and Flores and ended up in central Java, travelling on jets, prop planes, trains, boats, cars, motor scooters and rickshaws.
